Coronavirus: New cases over 100 again

After two days in a row with fewer than 100 new coronavirus cases reported in Shelby County, the number is now more than 100 again.

On Thursday, May 13, the Shelby County Health Department reported 143 new coronavirus cases and three new coronavirus-related deaths.

The 143 cases come from 2,577 tests, giving the day a positivity rate of 5.5%.

Shelby County’s reported coronavirus total is now 97,095 cases, including 94,001 inactive cases, 1,459 active cases and 1,635 deaths.
