Coronavirus: Five new deaths reported

The Shelby County Health Department reported five new coronavirus-related deaths on Monday, May 24.

The agency also reported 78 new coronavirus cases.

The 78 new cases come from 4,994 tests, giving the day a positivity rate of 1.6%.

Shelby County’s reported coronavirus total is now 98,239 cases, including 95,455 inactive cases, 1,116 active cases and 1,668 deaths.
