Coronavirus: New cases stay steady

The Shelby County Health Department reported 89 additional cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, May 12, and 0 new local deaths.

The positive cases came from 1,378 tests, giving the day a positivity rate of 6.4%. 

The area’s total number of coronavirus cases now stands at 96,952 since the beginning of the pandemic. And as the county looks to lift its mask mandate, the seven-day case average is 129.
