Sedley Alley’s daughter, April Alley (front, shown with a member of her legal counsel in Memphis on Oct. 14, 2019) petitioned the court to test DNA to prove her father, who was executed in 2006, did not kill Lance Cpl. Suzanne Collins in 1985. (Patrick Lantrip/Daily Memphian file)
Sedley Alley was executed in 2006 for the murder of Lance Cpl. Suzanne Collins. Alley’s daughter sought to have DNA evidence tested to see if it would clear his name.
