Special prosecutor reviewing information in Ford criminal investigation
Shelby County Commissioner Edmund Ford Jr. (right, shown in a file photo with commissioners Willie F. Brooks Jr., middle, and David C. Bradford) has said he recused himself when the commission voted on a grant for Junior Achievement of Memphis & the Mid-South. (Mark Weber/Daily Memphian file)
An independent report concluded Ford failed to disclose a county grant he proposed in 2019 would be used to buy computer equipment from Ford totaling $45,000.
