It's a must-get-a-win (or two) week for the Grizzlies as they try to maintain their playoff-race lead amid injuries. 

With 27 points, 14 assists, and much swagger, Ja Morant leads the Grizzlies to a 105-88 victory over the Lakers and earns high praise from LeBron James.

Dillon Brooks scored a season-high 32 points, Jonas Valanciunas grabbed a career-best 25 rebounds, and Ja Morant had a double-double with 20 points and 11 assists. And still the Grizzlies lost, for the fifth consecutive time.

The Houston Rockets beat up the Grizzlies 140-112 on national television as Russell Westbrook just missed a triple-double. The Grizzlies fell to 28-30 and lost every game on their four-game road trip.

With the season winding down and injuries mounting, now is the time for the Grizzlies front office to return to its original focus.

The Houston Rockets made a decision recently to turn to “small ball.” When the Grizzlies face the Rockets in Houston on Wednesday, they may not have much of a choice.

With the loss, the Grizzlies fall under .500 for the first time since January 31st and have lost three games in a row for the first time since Dec. 7.
