Late in the third quarter at FedExForum, Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma ran down an offensive rebound, one of the Lakers’ 19 on the night, and whipped the ball to LeBron James, who exploded over Marc Gasol for a dunk, landed on the floor, and bounced up the stanchion behind the basket, as if the hardwood were instead a trampoline.

LeBron James had 20 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, Kyle Kuzma added 20 points and nine rebounds, and the Los Angeles Lakers dominated the Memphis Grizzlies in a 111-88 victory on Saturday night.

With fewer than 40 seconds to play and a two-point lead, Kyle Anderson slipped over to double team New Orleans Pelicans forward Julius Randle en route to the rim, using his long reach to poke the ball loose and force the Pelicans deep into the shot clock.

Marc Gasol had his worst game of the season. Jaren Jackson Jr. fouled out in 21 minutes. The Grizzlies had more missed free throws (nine) than made three-pointers (seven). And they still notched a double-digit win against what is so far one of the West’s best teams.

Mike Conley scored 22 points, JaMychal Green had 19 points and 11 rebounds, and the Memphis Grizzlies held the Los Angeles Clippers to a season scoring low in a 96-86 victory Wednesday night.

The Grizzlies took to the practice court on Tuesday afternoon with two former Defensive Players of the Year (Marc Gasol, Joakim Noah) and what they hope is a future one (Jaren Jackson Jr.).

As expected, the Memphis Grizzlies officially announced Tuesday the signing of veteran center Joakim Noah for the remainder of the season.
