What’s seemingly broken up Ja Morant’s future with the Grizzlies? It wasn’t a gusher of off-court problems but a slow drip of on-court problems — and the pressures of money and time.

In September, Grizzlies general manager Zach Kleiman said the high-end outcomes needed Ja Morant to play at an All-NBA level. Thirty-seven games into the season, Morant has played 18 times and is averaging career lows in several categories.

Should the Grizzlies make a trade, they will seek draft picks and young players in return, Shams Charania reported.

As the Grizzlies look to rack up points in Berlin and London, Memphis business leaders are aiming for some wins of their own. 

Memphis Tourism president and CEO Kevin Kane said the Grizzlies’ international games provide a rare opportunity to get in front of influential international travel companies. 

Former Memphis Grizzly Dillon Brooks got the best of his old team again on Wednesday night, then criticized the team’s front office afterward.

With a losing streak, new injuries to Ja Morant and Cedric Coward and a crowded coming schedule, this Memphis Grizzlies season may be at a crossroads. 

The season sweep by the Lakers will sting, but the immediate worry for Memphis is the health of its budding rookie Cedric Coward.
