The University of Memphis basketball program is hiring an assistant coach with links to former Duke leader Mike Krzyzewski, according to reports.

This year will mark 15 years since Derrick Rose, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Antonio Anderson, Joey Dorsey and Robert Dozier came closer to a college basketball title than any other Memphis team. For that, they deserve to be recognized.

The Tigers got a commitment from international player Ian Granja on Saturday morning, who played last season in the Czech Republic U19 League.

Penny Hardaway has selected a replacement for Rodney Hamilton as director of basketball operations.

The University of Memphis’ 2022-2023 men’s basketball schedule includes seven games against teams that played in either the NCAA Tournament or National Invitational Tournament.

The opening games of the ESPN Events Invitational are set. 

In his fifth year at the University of Memphis, Penny Hardaway has assembled his most experienced roster ever. He’s added AAC Player of the Year Kendric Davis. He’s added talented wing players Emmanuel Akot and Keonte Kennedy.

Even though Hardaway accomplished his primary goal last season, he understood that the path Memphis took would be unsustainable going forward.

Finding the right combinations should be much easier for Penny Hardaway this season.

Memphis is ranked in the top 20 in NIL compensation.

Hardaway continues to put together a challenging nonconference slate for the Tigers.

The Memphis Tigers’ coach now can avoid certain lineup dilemmas and focus on an experienced roster.
