Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland announced that beginning at 8 a.m. Tuesday, March 31, the city is limiting access to city parks, including closing Riverside Drive by Tom Lee Park, as well as roads near other parks.

Strickland says he will review the city’s list of essential businesses this week and could make changes. He also said the city’s state of emergency will be extended beyond next week’s expiration date.
