Memphis basketball adds to 2020-21 schedule, secures future multi-team events

Memphis basketball has added more games to its 2020-21 basketball schedule, according to documents obtained by The Daily Memphian.
The Tigers will play LeMoyne-Owen on Oct. 18, Alabama on Oct. 31 or Nov. 1 (in an exhibition pending approval), Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 10, Arkansas State on Nov. 14, Murray State on Nov. 21 and Central Arkansas on Dec. 27.
Other games already on the Memphis schedule include this year’s Battle 4 Atlantis from Nov. 25-27, a game at Ole Miss on Dec. 5, a game at Georgia on Jan. 2, and neutral-site games against Auburn on Dec. 12 in Atlanta and Tennessee Dec. 18 or 20 in Nashville.
Also included in the documents are signed agreements to compete in several future multi-team events, including the 2021 NIT Tip-Off Tournament in Brooklyn, the 2022 Orlando Invitational on the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and the 2024 Maui Invitational at the Lahaina Civic Center in Hawaii.
