Shelby County coronavirus total grows by 302
There are 302 more reported coronavirus cases and one additional reported death resulting from the disease in Shelby County, according to the Shelby County Health Department.
The state’s Health Resources Tracking Systems reports that that as of July 6, 346 patients were hospitalized for coronavirus in Shelby County.
And according to the HRTS, 86% of acute care and 86% of intensive care unit hospital beds were in use, overall, as of July 6.
As of Wednesday, there are 12,467 reported coronavirus cases and 201 reported coronavirus-related deaths; 7,975 are considered recovered from coronavirus.
Those 302 additional cases come from 2,350 tests, a positivity rate of 12.9%.
Overall, 145,679 tests have been administered in Shelby County.
The Tennessee Department of Health reports statewide coronavirus figures at 2 p.m. daily.
As of Tuesday, July 7, the agency reported 53,514 cases, including 665 deaths, 2,950 hospitalizations and 31,827 considered recovered.
In Tennessee, 920,801 coronavirus tests have been administered.
