Coronavirus: Five new deaths and more than 400 new cases reported

The Shelby County Health Department reported five new deaths related to coronavirus on Monday, Nov. 23.
The agency also reported 407 new coronavirus cases.
The 407 new cases come from 4,052 tests, which gives the day a positivity rate of 10%.

In Shelby County, 356,189 people have been tested for coronavirus; 13% have received positive results. And 638,956 coronavirus tests have been performed; 9% have returned positive results.
In Shelby County, the reported coronavirus total is now 45,575 cases, including 40,815 inactive cases (recoveries), 4,125 active cases and 635 deaths.
Area hospital capacity information was not available on Monday. The Health Department said that information for Friday through Sunday would be included with tomorrow’s update.

As of Sunday, the agency reported 335,887 coronavirus cases, including 4,211 deaths, 2,060 current hospitalizations and 291,819 inactive cases (recoveries).
About 4.2 million coronavirus tests have been performed in Tennessee.
