March 8, 2020: First reported case in Shelby County
March 24, 2020: 100 reported cases in Shelby County
March 28, 2020: First reported death in Shelby County
April 10, 2020: 1,000 reported cases in Shelby County
May 27, 2020: 100 reported deaths in Shelby County
May 31, 2020: 5,000 reported cases in Shelby County
July 1, 2020: 10,000 reported cases in Shelby County
Oct. 9, 2020: 500 reported deaths in Shelby County
Dec. 5, 2020: 50,000 reported cases in Shelby County
Dec. 17, 2020: First Memphis COVID-19 vaccinations administered
Jan. 2, 2021: Highest one-day increase in new cases

As of Friday, March 5, the Shelby County coronavirus total was 88,521 cases including 1,517 deaths. As of that date, 113,793 people in Shelby County had received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose; 164,472 doses had been administered total.
That means more than 12% of Shelby County residents have received at least one COVID-19 dose through March 5.
