Coronavirus: Third day of more than 100 new cases

The Shelby County Health Department reported more than 100 coronavirus cases for the third straight day.

The agency reported 119 new cases and no new coronavirus-related deaths.

Those 119 cases come from 2,968 tests, giving the day a positivity rate of 4%.

According to the latest Shelby County Health Department data, 191,097 people in Shelby County have received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose; 87,312 people have received two COVID-19 vaccine doses.

And 278,409 total doses have been administered in Shelby County.

Shelby County’s reported coronavirus total is now 90,374 cases, including 88,127 inactive cases (recoveries), 1,049 active cases and 1,558 deaths.

The Tennessee Department of Health releases statewide coronavirus figures at 2 p.m. daily.

As of Thursday, March 26th, Tennessee’s reported coronavirus total is 806,792 cases, including 11,816deaths, 802 current hospitalizations and 781,415 inactive cases (recoveries).

About 7.1 million coronavirus tests have been performed in Tennessee.
