Katrina Robinson expelled from state Senate
State Sen. Katrina Robinson of Memphis was expelled from the state Senate Wednesday, Feb. 2. By a partisan vote, the Senate expelled her following guilty convictions on two wire fraud charges. (Ian Round/Daily Memphian)
Robinson was expelled following her two wire fraud convictions but before her sentencing, which is scheduled for March 3. Robinson said GOP lawmakers discriminated against her on the basis of her race, gender and party.
