Calkins: Memphis gets ‘humongous’ win the program deserved

Calkins has been named the best sports columnist in the country five times by the Associated Press sports editors, but still figures his best columns are about the people who make Memphis what it is.
The Memphis Tigers ended Houston’s 37-game home winning streak. It was a win they desperately needed. And that everyone connected with the program — coaches, players and fans — richly deserved.
