Memphis football has scheduled a home-and-home series with Middle Tennessee State University, the school announced on Tuesday.
The Tigers will host Middle Tennessee on Sept. 28, 2024, and travel to Murfreesboro on Sept. 25, 2027.
“We are very excited to add Middle Tennessee to our future schedules,” coach Ryan Silverfield said in a statement. “Any time you have the opportunity to play an in-state opponent, it makes sense from a recruiting and logistical standpoint. MTSU has a great tradition, and we look forward to playing them in years to come.”
The Blue Raiders join North Alabama, Troy and Florida State as the Tigers’ nonconference opponents in 2024. Middle Tennessee and Arkansas State are the two nonconference games that have been announced for the 2027 schedule. Memphis will kick off the 2023 season at Mississippi State on Sept. 3.
