Shelby County Commission weighs forming public safety committee in wake of recent violence
“There are a lot of moving parts and it would be my intention to pull people together as opposed to creating a whole new lane of work,” Shelby County Commissioner Miska Clay-Bibbs (middle) said about the possibility of a committee on public safety. (Mark Weber/The Daily Memphian)
The committee proposal is a reaction to last week’s violence in the city, with more discussion to come at committee sessions later this month before a vote.
