City denies MPD failed to properly investigate a 2021 rape allegation against Cleotha Henderson
New court filing contests claim that MPD could have prevented Eliza Fletcher’s murder
The objections follow a motion from the city in early December stating that any contention that Eliza Fletcher’s slaying could have been avoided by a more thorough investigation of Alicia Franklin’s 2021 rape is “immaterial, impertinent and scandalous.” (The Daily Memphian file)
