Two MFD personnel relieved of duty after Tyre Nichols incident
The Memphis Fire Department relieved two of its personnel of duty who provided “initial patient care” to Tyre Nichols, pending an internal investigation. MFD did not share any more details. (Brad Vest/The Daily Memphian file)
The identity of the personnel or the reason for investigating was not disclosed. The announcement follows news from the Memphis Police Department that they fired the five officers involved in the fatal attempted arrest of Nichols.
