Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane undergoes procedure on toe

Memphis Grizzlies guard Desmond Bane had a successful procedure to fix the toe injury that forced him to miss 17 games last season, the team announced Tuesday, May 16.
Bane sustained a fracture of the medial sesamoid bone in his right big toe during a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Nov. 11, 2022. He returned from the injury in late December and played out the rest of the season.
Bane averaged 21.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.4 assists last season for the Grizzlies.
He is expected to make a full recovery ahead of the 2023-24 season.
