2023 Memphis Election Guide
Editor’s Note: In the interest of the public good, The Daily Memphian is making its 2023 Memphis election coverage free to registered readers.
On Thursday, Oct. 5, Memphis voters will decide the city’s next mayor as well as new Memphis City Council members.
Early voting has ended, so voters will need to report to their local precincts — which can be found at shelbyvote.org. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
To help Memphians make informed choices at the ballot box, we’ve included pages on all the top contenders in the mayor’s race as well as information on those candidates who are lower in the polls.
We’ve also included videos from both of The Daily Memphian’s mayoral debates. Information on the various City Council races will be added as those stories publish.
For more information about key dates, how to request an absentee ballot and voting precinct locations or to see a sample ballot, you’ll find that information here.
