Memphis missing-person alerts rose after Eliza Fletcher’s disappearance

“We learn from our mistakes,” an MPD spokesperson said. In August 2022, Memphis Police Department posted five missing-person alerts on Twitter. In September, after the abduction of Eliza Fletcher, nearly 45 alerts were posted.
