Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkins put any skepticism to rest that some had on Steven Adams’ availability this season.
Jenkins made off-the-air comments Monday during an appearance on Grind City Media’s Jessica Benson Show that suggest Adams is finally healthy after he suffered a PCL sprain in his right knee in January.
“He’s good to go … but we’ll be smart with him, of course, as we proceed,” said Jenkins, according to Grind City Media editor and analyst Michael Wallace.

During Monday’s media day Grizzlies general manager Zach Kleiman added that Adams is “in a good spot” and “cleared for live play.”
Adams — the 30-year-old, 6-foot-11 center — initially was ruled out for three to five weeks after injuring his knee in a game against the Phoenix Suns in January. But the Grizzlies decided in March to give Adams a stem cell injection, which pushed the timetable for his return back to the start of the 2023 playoffs before Jenkins ultimately said the big man would likely miss the playoffs altogether.
