Season starts Thursday in Milwaukee with plenty of links to Memphis Redbirds

The St. Louis Cardinals, the Memphis Redbirds’ parent club, were above .500 the last three seasons, but failed to make the postseason. Under skipper Mike Shildt, who managed Memphis in 2015-16, the Cardinals are optimistic about 2019.
