201 Poplar fire injures inmates, highlights old facility and staff issues

Four inmates at the Shelby County Jail were noncritically injured just before 10 p.m. Friday night after objects were set on fire and thrown in a housing unit.

Once an intern, he never left, joining the staff full-time in 2022 as an education reporter.
