Live at the Garden lineup spans classic rock and country-pop genres

Kansas kicks off concert series on June 4

The classic rock band Kansas will open this year's Live at the Garden season June 7.

Organizers of the annual concert series at the Memphis Botanic Garden released the lineup for the series’ 19th year.

The June appearance by Kansas will be followed by:

  • The Doobie Brothers: July 13
  • Lionel Richie: Aug. 2
  • Toby Keith: Aug. 31
  • Brett Young: Sept. 14

Season passes for lawn seating went on sale for $225 on April 11, at the Memphis Botanic Gardens box office and Ticketmaster.com.

Fans can buy individual show tickets Friday, April 26, at 10 a.m. Prices vary according to show.

The series began in 2001 with Isaac Hayes and the Memphis Symphony Orchestra. In the nearly two decades since, the Botanic Gardens have hosted an impressive roster of contemporary performers and stars of yesteryear, including a 2018 lineup of Rascal Flatts, Train, Boy George & Culture Club with The B-52s, Gladys Knight and Big & Rich.

This year, Live at the Garden alums The Doobie Brothers will return, after playing the Gardens in the 2009 season.
