The NBA announced on Monday that Grizzlies rookie GG Jackson has been named to the all-rookie second team.
Jackson averaged 14.6 points and 4.1 rebounds as a rookie, and more than 20 points per game in his final 18 games of the regular season.
He also set a single-game rookie franchise record with 44 points in the final game of the season against Denver, which was the second-highest scoring total by a teenager in NBA history.
Jackson is the fifth player in the last six years to earn all-rookie honors for the Grizzlies.
The 19-year-old joins Victor Wembanyama, Chet Holmgren, Jaime Jacquez Jr., Brandon Miller, Brandin Podziemski, Keyonte George, Derrick Lively II, Amen Thompson and Cason Wallace as all-rookie players.
Jackson was also rewarded with a four-year standard contract in February after beginning on a two-way deal to start his rookie season. He was the 45th overall selection in the 2023 NBA draft.
