Work begins on nearly $2B EV battery facility in Marshall County

Mississippi officials, including Gov. Tate Reeves and U.S. Sen. Cindy Hyde-Smith, gathered Friday, June 28, in Marshall County for the ceremonial groundbreaking of a nearly $2 billion investment.
Earlier this year, Cummins, Daimler Trucks and Paccar announced plans to partner in a joint venture to build an electric-vehicle battery facility north of Byhalia, Mississippi.
