New Memphis Tigers athletic director has a long to-do list
“We’ve got to fill up, you know, the Liberty Bowl,” new University of Memphis athletic director Ed Scott said. “We’ve got to fill it up. There’s no two ways about that.” (Patrick Lantrip/The Daily Memphian)
Ed Scott doesn’t believe in tackling his to-do list sequentially. Rather, it’s all about juggling multiple issues simultaneously.
For the Memphis Tigers’ new athletic director, that’s a whole lot of balls — and perhaps a few sharp objects — in the air.
Building his leadership team. Raising money for stadium renovation. Lots of money. Filling a vacant head coaching position. Building corporate support and selling tickets. Lots of tickets. Making critical NIL-related decisions, too.
