New Mississippi River Bridge gets huge federal investment
The new bridge is to be built slightly south of where the existing Memphis-Arkansas Interstate 55 bridge has been since 1949. It would replace the existing bridge. (The Daily Memphian file)
“This unprecedented investment in Memphis marks the single-largest transportation investment in Tennessee state history and will be transformative for our infrastructure,” Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee said.
