Olive Branch mayor seeks second term in growing city

By 2028, Olive Branch Mayor Ken Adams believes the city will become the most populated in DeSoto County, a distinction that currently belongs to Southaven and its more than 55,000 residents.
“In the last four years, Olive Branch has led the way by having the most growth in global assessed value,” he said. “We’re growing so fast, and I have no doubt in my mind that in the next four years, we’ll be the largest city in the county.”
First elected mayor in 2021, Adams recently announced he will run for a second term in 2025. Before seeking public office, Adams was a DeSoto County Justice Court Judge for 25 years.
And while there’s still more than a year to go before DeSoto County holds its next municipal elections, Adams knew on his first day in office he would run again.
