Regional One Health has long been a lifeline for residents of rural West Tennessee who need specialized health care unavailable in their own communities.
That includes patients with high-risk pregnancies, who must travel back and forth to Memphis to receive care at the hospital’s Center for High Risk Pregnancy.
“A lot of times you need subspecialty care to really help optimize the conditions in pregnancy, and usually that’s with a maternal fetal medicine doctor,” said Dr. Kerri Brackney, who specializes in maternal fetal medicine at Regional One Health.
With access to care so limited for women with high-risk pregnancies, Regional One Health is launching Stork 901, which will begin next Spring.
