Former Tiger Jacob Likes isn’t surprised by Malachi Breland’s success
Malachi Breland (72) said he believed he could see the field early at Memphis after noticing the Tigers had a few offensive linemen who were in their final year or two of eligibility. It didn’t take long for former Memphis Tigers center Jacob Likes to notice Malachi Breland’s potential.
“I knew about midway through last season that he was going to be a great player for us and have a great career,” Likes said. “I’m very happy and excited to see him be able to play this year.”
Likes was a veteran in his fifth season with the program by the time Breland joined the offensive line as a true freshman last year.
