After stops at Louisville and Troy, wide receiver Traveon Samuel elected to finish his football career at the University of Memphis.

Samuel, who transferred from Louisville to Troy after the 2017 season, only played one game last season. He caught five passes for 41 yards and rushed three times for 10 yards.

The 5-foot-7 receiver committed to Louisville as part of the class of 2015. He was ranked No. 399 overall in the 247Sports Composite Ranking and held offers from Clemson, Duke, Florida State, Kentucky, LSU, Mississippi State, Ohio State and Tennessee.

In three seasons at Louisville, Samuel caught 57 balls for 746 yards and two touchdowns.

Coach Mike Norvell continues to bolster his wide receivers corps after some struggles last season. Tony Pollard's 458 yards were the second most to Damonte Coxie's 1,174. Pollard, and Darrell Henderson, were both picked in the 2019 NFL Draft.
