Voter turnout across Tennessee for the Nov. 5 presidential election was 66.3% — or 3.08 million — of the state’s 4,652,300 voters.
The number of voters is a state record, according to Tennessee Secretary of State Tre Hargett, who commented after he, Gov. Bill Lee and Tennessee Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti met Dec. 2 to certify the state results.
The percentage is based on the total number of voters in the state according to a June report — the most recent — by the Tennessee Secretary of State’s office.
