Runners braved a chilly December morning to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Perhaps unlike those who take part in other road races around the country, everyone who ran in the St. Jude Memphis Marathon on a chilly Saturday morning had a story to tell.

Many were happy stories, tales of cancer that was beaten back by the team at St. Jude. Some were sad stories, recollections of children who fought the disease until they just had nothing left.
