Over the past decade, prolific director Steven Soderbergh (“Out of Sight,” “Erin Brockovich”) has increasingly turned to quicker, cheaper productions and movies made primarily for streaming services such as HBO/Max.
He arguably hasn’t had a truly major theatrical movie since 2012’s “Magic Mike.”
