As the country doubts Memphis’ ability to make noise in March Madness, the Tigers’ coach would be lying if he said the skeptics haven’t only further motivated his team.
When the No. 5 seed Tigers (29-5) tip off against No. 12 seed Colorado State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday (1 p.m. CT, TBS) in Seattle, they’ll do so as 1.5-point underdogs.
