For more than 35 years, buffalo have been a part of Shelby Farms. In the latest installment of “Ask the Memphian,” we take a look at their past and future as symbols of the park.
“(People) often watch them when they’re grazing and think they’re sort of lumbering and slow and that is really not the case. They can run very fast and they can jump very high,” Shelby Farms Park Conservancy CEO Jen Andrews said.
