Redbirds Recap: Memphis hammers Buffalo in series’ second game

The Memphis Redbirds took Game 2 of their six-game series with Buffalo, beating the Bisons 15-3 Wednesday at AutoZone Park.
Memphis erupted for eight runs in the first inning, fueled largely by a three-run double from catcher Gavin Collins and three RBI singles. Collins went 3-for-5 with five RBIs and three runs scored.
All 10 Memphis batters appearing in the game safely reached. Nine of the 10 had a hit, scored a run and drove in a run, including centerfielder Michael Helman who went 3-for-6 with four runs scored, two doubles and an RBI.
