University of Memphis Foundation adds two new board members

The University of Memphis Foundation has added two new members to its board of directors, Tanya Hart and Monica Wharton.

Hart, a graduate a University of Memphis graduate with a bachelor's degree in finance, is the senior vice president of Total Rewards at First Tennessee and has held other keys roles including leadership training and financial planning, according to a release. 

Wharton joins the board with ten years of experience serving at nonprofit healthcare systems, including her current appointment as senior vice president and chief legal officer at Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare. Her past experience includes in strategic planning, joint ventures/affiliations, physician alignment, litigation management, corporate risk management and providing guidance on various state and federal regulations.

“The Foundation is fortunate to have Tanya and Monica serve on the Board,” Byron Morgan, associate vice president of the U of M Foundation, said in a release. “Both are outstanding in their fields and will provide valuable expertise and insight to the Board.”
