Elwood’s Shack on Park Avenue has closed after less than two years in business, leaving just the original location on Summer Avenue for folks who enjoy the eatery’s fish tacos or its assortment of hot dogs.
The news was all over Memphis social media Friday, April 25, and a person who answered the phone at the 4040 Park Ave. location confirmed the closure, saying Friday was the last day and the decision was sudden. The man, who would not give his name and said he was waiting on a tow truck before he could leave, said he had no idea the location was going to be closing until Friday.
