Nearly 200 students will be forced to leave U of M after Ghana fails to pay debt

After the government of Ghana failed to pay the University of Memphis $3.6 million in overdue payments for the country’s 185 students enrolled here, school officials have informed the students that they must vacate university housing by Aug. 9.
The decision likely means that many of those students will be forced to leave the school unless they can find an alternative payment arrangement.
