The 13 races for the Shelby County Board of Commissioners are shaping up ahead of 2026 elections that will see at least a majority of the body’s seven seats change hands because of term limits.

Dec. 22 is the first day candidates can check out qualifying petitions and file them with the Shelby County Election Commission.
