Deal to keep Grizzlies in Memphis won’t be done this summer, mayor says

The timeline for a deal to keep the Memphis Grizzlies on the court at FedExForum beyond 2029 has been pushed back as lease negotiations between the team, the City of Memphis and Shelby County wear on.

It is unlikely an agreement will be in place this summer, Memphis Mayor Paul Young said in a Friday, July 18, interview.
