In conservative DeSoto County, progressive group takes root

In the heart of DeSoto County, a new progressive political group is taking root, driven by what its members describe as a deep concern for the future of American democracy.
Indivisible DeSoto MS, founded three months ago, has become a visible presence on the Hernando Square, aiming to inform the public, rebuild democratic participation and push back against what the group’s leaders view as a nationwide pattern of political tyranny.
The group, a local chapter of the national Indivisible movement, was born out of a shared sense of disappointment and a desire for collective action.
