Memphis-Shelby County Schools has offers from Memphis Light, Gas and Water and local dance studio New Ballet Ensemble and School to purchase a vacant school in North Memphis.

MLGW has offered the appraised value of $1.4 million to build a substation on the Humes Middle property at 659 N. Manassas St. A competing offer of $257,000 from New Ballet Ensemble and School envisions a new performing-arts school in the 100-year-old building.

Records show it isn’t yet clear which direction MSCS may go with the property, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the alma mater of rock ‘n’ roll icon Elvis Presley. And it is possible Interim Superintendent Roderick Richmond recommends not selling it at all.

This game follows some of the conventions of Wordle. You get six tries to guess each individual word. If a letter on the keypad turns yellow, the letter is in that specific word, but it’s in the wrong spot. If it turns green, the letter is in the right spot. If it turns gray, it’s not part of the word.

But unlike Wordle, there can be any number of words or letters.

Good luck!
