Google confirmed plans for a data center in West Memphis, according to a joint statement with Entergy Arkansas released Friday, Sept. 5.

Groot is the developer of the $1 billion, 900,000-square-foot data center at the south end of Bollinger Road near the Coca-Cola distribution center.

Groot submitted plans for a data center site in West Memphis in December 2024 to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Memphis office for water-mitigation approval.
